This website is aimed to create a platform for proactive interaction with our valued customers. Its benefits are two-fold: firstly, to facilitate in providing and exchanging information and secondly, to increase awareness about Takaful and simultaneously disseminating the teachings of Islam and fulfilling one’s Islamic religious obligations to the community and hence provide a better understanding of Takaful.

Alhamdulillah on 1^st July 2010 Takaful IBB Berhad (TIBB) and Takaful BIBD Sdn Bhd (TBIBD) were officially merged and Syarikat Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd (STBD) became the holding company. Both companies were renamed as Takaful Brunei Am Sdn Bhd (TBA) and Takaful Brunei Keluarga Sdn Bhd (TBK) respectively to reflect their respective business functions in compliance with the Takaful Order, 2008.

The merging of the Country’s leading two Takaful operators is seen as a positive development in the nation’s Islamic financial sector, the combined synergy of both companies’ expertise and experience will not only serve to strengthen and further develop the Takaful industry but to also provide a wider and better range of products and services. It is aimed to achieve an Islamic financial system which is both in line with the Nation’s Malay Islamic Monarchy values; as well as a vision towards the continuous creation of a dynamic and pro-active Islamic financial system that is on par with the International world Islamic financial industry.

We are confident to support the Country’s mission and vision in developing and cultivating a savings culture with the availability of our Shariah compliant saving products provided by TBK of which can be a first step to nurture the saving discipline especially for our younger generation.

Meanwhile TBA endeavors to increase its market share by providing competitive general products and services which is currently dominated by conventional players. Coupled with prudent underwriting and good risk management TBA aims to increase local retention for the growth and profitability of the company.

TBA and TBK will continuously strive to facilitate efficient and responsive services to deliver to all our valued customers the highest service levels with innovative Takaful products for the nation and as propagated by our corporate motto “The Takaful That You can Always Trust…”
